This was a C-41 B&W negative I had scanned. It was taken atop Sacre'-Coeur in the belltower area. About 2 1/2 years ago.
I immediate recognized Sacre Coeur ... a beautiful place to take pictures (even with all the graffiti).

I never went here. I tried once to enter, but we have been evicted when the guard saw my cam. He was so unpolite that we decided to leave the monument. I'll come back once and blind him with the new flash of Kerstin, and then we will be free to visit the monument and photograph, without using flash, of course, all its wonders !

Funny - when we were in France on this trip I had not yet discovered the joy of photography. Steve mailed us about 200 photos (including this one) and it must have spurred something in me because the next trip to Paris for Aurélie and Aaron's wedding we purchased our first digicam (a Canon S45) and started shooting. Aaron was a good coach teaching us some cool tricks like how to take a long exposure using the camera timer... Many dollars and a few cameras later I'm still shooting... thanks Dad, and Aaron!
This is a great shot by the way and one of our favorites. I think we have it framed somewhere in the house.
