I was really getting interested in bird photography. It takes panning and patience.

You are getting it down well - soon you will be buying the Nikon 500mm lens (not the mirror one but the big heavy expensive one) and slinging it over your shoulder hiking around the world. I didn't show you this when you were in Brussels but I bought a copy of "The Art of Bird Photography" by Arthur Morris. He is an amazing photographer and there are a lot of good tips in the book (I still have to read most of it!).
